Look at this, I've returned to the blogosphere with a vengence!

[Posted originally at NoFreakin Way Annex, a temporary blog for Computer Assisted Reporting Class which I enrolled in Spring 2010.]
For computer assisted reporting I am researching the process/planning a honeymoon in New England. I'm double dipping, using school to supplement and aid my real life situation; I'm getting married in July and my lovely fiancee has expressed a desire to see the sea cliff of New England. ("See the sea," really? What have I done?)
The funny thing is that for this project I was supposed to have tracked down several interview sources during this weekend, which would be excellent help planning this honeymoon. So what is the trouble? What is adversarial unto itself as the title states?
I spent the weekend doing wedding planning/preparation stuff and did not have an opportunity complete my interview source homework. The wedding planning preventing the honeymoon planning, how fantastic, yes?
Disclaimer: This blog post late at night after finishing at the Collegian and now have no opportunity to complete my assignment is a shameless attempt at explaining my failure and garnering mercy from the good Dr. Baltrip. Honesty is the best policy, yes?

I am super-stoked to be getting married. It's not often I use the word stoked, but I feel it applies. I am fired up and eager, we'd be married already if it was reasonable and possible, but she wants a grand wedding and I am happy to plan it with her, my lovely fiancee Bristen.
The trouble is I'm so bloody busy this semester. I've never been this busy in my life, and now I know why I avoided it. It's no fun! Rushing from appointment to appointment, job to school, to house to meeting, yikes!
I'm no multi-tasker. I'm quite the opposite. I like one event a day and no more. My mind cannot wrap around having two important deeds to accomplish in one day. It's an insult to both to have to share a day. It's part of the trouble with the world, cramming to much into a day, a week, a life time. Slow down a bit people. Take a moment to enjoy it all. Let's celebrate.
I think that's the trouble with America and its steady loss of traditions and traditional values. The American people never took time to celebrate their holidays. Every other nation has what could be called "festivals" that last for multiple days and give everyone a chance to truly slow down. America has a holiday ever now and again. Holiday. One day. Not holiweek, as I think it should be, but holiday. Celebration crammed into one day. Blah. It's difficult to get enough celebrating done in one day so you're left feeling content. And that's not fun at all. If it's difficult, and it's not fun, it's work. So what are you left with? Just another work day.
Which is why I celebrate winter. It lasts for a while.
Where was I?... Wedding planning. It goes well. Honeymoon planning. See above.
Because I have to...
