Greeting friends and family,
I bought breakfast from the lady by the exhibition hall. It’s quite filling, so I wasn’t bothered to miss lunch.
We preformed another skit this morning for class. It was another hit, though simple.
In the afternoon we played Wide Wide Lawn, a cross between Sharks and Minnows and Fly Trap. Kids stand on the line, ask if they may cross the lawn and then are told, for example, that everyone wearing yellow can cross the lawn. Those wearing yellow cross the lawn and then everyone else has to run for it and avoid being tagged by the “owner” of the lawn. If caught they stand still, as trees, and tag other people who try and get by. I owned the lawn for one round. It was a rather warm day, though not as bad as Kansas is right now.
After that they drew comics with their own made up super heroes. Super Dumpling Man was the most interesting one I saw, and all the children had very creative ideas. I drew one about Strong-Man. I’ll have to see if I can scan it at some point and post it.
For supper, I at homemade pizza at Therese and Andrew’s house. They have an 18 yr old son, David, and Mitchell, about 15, I think, and then Daniel, a little Chinese boy they are adopting. We played Up And Down The River, a card game that I actually found to be very intriguing. Usually card games bore me.
Not much to tell about today I guess. Thanks again for everyone’s support, please leave comments and questions, but remember where I am (China) when you post well wishes. J Thanks.
Because I must…
Jesse
